One of my little guilty pleasures is a monthly subscription from Ipsy. It’s great to experiment with new beauty products, and at a cost that you can’t get in stores – $10 for 5 items plus the bag. Bags vary based on your selected preferences, and here is what I got this month.
June 2016 Ipsy Review
First off, I received this bag quite a bit later in the month than I normally do. I was beginning to wonder if it was lost in the mail, but it finally arrived. The bag design for this month I don’t love. Something just seems off about the color scheme, and the muddy colors don’t appeal to me. Oh well! I have a lot of these bags, so this one will be donated.
BioRepublic Soothing Fiber Masks:
I love these masks! I’ve actually tried the cucumber one before, and it was amazing. I am so happy to have received these. At $5 a pop, this isn’t something I would splurge on normally, and getting two in this bag made me really happy.
Liptini Creme Lip Color:
This shade was very subtle when I put it on, which isn’t a bad thing. I feel more comfortable with a softer lip color, so this is perfect for me.
Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer:
I had to check online if this concealer is meant for face or body, and turns out it’s meant for anywhere! It covers acne, scars, bug bites, and more. I tried it and I thought the formula was really nice. You only need a TINY bit too, so this sample should last for a long time. Another big win!
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Get Paid:
This eyeliner has a nice formula, it went on easy and stayed put. The color is a little light for me, but I’m open to experimenting more with it.
theBalm ‘Meet Matt(e)’ Trimony in Matt Moskowitz:
I feel like I’m not experienced enough to handle this dark, matte eye shadow. I like the color but I need more practice with it. I can see myself using this with an eyeliner brush as liner more than shadow.
Overall: This was a great bag for me. I liked everything except for the printed bag itself. I definitely feel like I got more than my money’s worth this month!
